About the project
Our project aims to advocate for and ensure that ethical standards for adopting and using AI educational tools are at the forefront of everything we do in our work. We aim to revolutionise current educational practices with AI and enable students and teachers to use new tools; we will make learning more personalised, accessible, and beneficial by creating free content.
Gathered experts, educators, and their students from horizontally structured education systems come from five European countries

Project Workflow
The SMAILE project is organised into four interconnected Work Packages designed to ensure effective management, high-quality educational content, sustainable dissemination and long-term impact in the field of AI Literacy in Education.

This work package focuses on the overall coordination and successful implementation of the project. Partners collaborate regularly through online meetings, mobility activities and international cooperation to monitor progress, manage communication, evaluate results and ensure quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Workpackage 1
Project managment
Workpackage 2
AI Toolkit development
Partners collaboratively design and develop an AI Toolkit composed of cross-curricular Learning Scenarios, classroom activities and pedagogical resources adapted to different age groups. The toolkit promotes ethical, creative and critical uses of Artificial Intelligence in education while supporting teachers in classroom integration.

Workpackage 3
AI e-hub development
This work package focuses on creating open educational resources and digital learning materials, including tutorials, media content, podcasts and MOOCs. The AI e-HUB serves as a sustainable online platform where teachers, students and families can access resources, share experiences and continue learning beyond the project duration.

Workpackage 4
Dissemination and Sustainability
The final work package ensures the visibility, impact and long-term sustainability of the project. Partners organise dissemination events, workshops, conferences and online communication activities to share project results with the wider educational community. This package also supports the continuation and future growth of the SMAILE AI Literacy network after the project officially ends.
