On 7th of April, the workshop “AI Applications for Teachers” took place in the Future Classroom of Escola Secundária Jerónimo Emiliano de Andrade, as part of the Erasmus+ project SMaiLE – Scenarios and MOOC’s for Artificial Intelligence Literacy in Education.

The session was publicized in the school, in the school’s social media and in the other schools of the island, inviting teachers to attend.

The session was led by teachers Dora Coelho, Lídia Bettencourt, and Marina Silva, and gathered several teachers from the school, one teacher from Spain and another teacher from another school nearby who participated actively throughout the event.

During the workshop, participants explored a variety of artificial intelligence (AI) tools designed for educational purposes. The session focused on the potential of AI to support lesson planning, teacher productivity, student assessment, and personalized learning, while also encouraging reflection on the ethical and pedagogical challenges involved in its use.

The event also promoted collaboration and the sharing of experiences among teachers, fostering discussions on how to integrate AI meaningfully and responsibly into teaching practices.
